ooooOh, I think I found what I want to do (or at least something to be excited about for the next few years)
* * *
* * *
1. get my fucking professional life in order, whatever the fuck that means.
2... stop cursing for emphasis.
3. be firm about my goals even if they inconvenience people.
4. don't allow myself to blame others for me not being myself, it's always my choice.
5. be at least close to fluent in Spanish by the end of next year.
6. establish the self-confident speech patterns I had in English in French, and keep eye-contact while speaking.
8. write a life plan, even if I don't follow it.(decide on what my life would not be complete without.)
9. pay larger amounts toward my student loans
10. gym = at least 3 times a week
11. make another photo book!
12. befriend strangers! ....and hopefully they wont kill me!
13. FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS

ACCOMPLISHED THIS YEAR
1. I think I can say that I'm now fluent in French, (god damn, finally) Of course this doesn't mean that I don't make mistakes and I've stopped learning or whatever. Hell I'm not even finished learning English...but I can talk about whatever is necessary now.
2. I have abs! Although to be fair I think a good portion of this is due to the month long tour of Europe we took in which my backpack was actually heavier than Pierrick's.
3. I took a month long tour of Europe! bet you didn't see that coming ; )
4. I printed my first photo book! Granted it's probably going to be remembered as the one I like the least in about 5 years, but I managed to finally make the damn thing.
5. I got over myself! Some might argue that this is actually a bad thing. We'll see.
6. I made some new friends. Which means I'm not quite the scared lonely loser I was the year before.
7. I turned 26! whoo! free space on the BINGO board!
8. I claimed an arch-enemy to battle against, and no I won't tell you who it is, but now I can laugh maniacally for a *reason*

Lots of screen time today. I need to knit or something tomorrow or my eyes just might decide to go on vacation.

Un Allemand qui visite la France s'arrête à coté de deux types qui attendent un bus.

"Entschuldigen Sie, bitte, sprechen Sie Deutsch? "demande-t-il.

Les deux Français le regardent en silence.

"Spreekt u misschien Nederlands ?"

Les deux Français ne bougent pas...

L'Allemand essaie alors: "Sorry, do you speak English ?"

Les deux autres continuent à le regarder.

"Parlate Italiano ?"

Pas de réponse.

"Hablan Ustedes Español ?"

Toujours rien.

I'm starting a (mostly) French language blog with the selfish motivation that it will keep me on top of my never-ending vocabulary enrichment.

It's really for those who already have some experience in the language, otherwise you'll just be able to iterate semi-useful words like some kind of linguistic studies monkey.

Don't yell at me yet about the lack of content I just started it:

People don't want a six-inch drill, they want a six-inch hole.

An infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first one orders a beer. The second orders half a beer. The third, a quarter of a beer. The bartender says "You're all idiots", and pours two beers.

You gotta love having friends that will make fun of someone they don't know just because they know it'll make you feel better.

I was reading this because generally speaking I'm in favor of a new system where information moves more freely, (for example, I think p2p and people downloading movies etc. is an unavoidable symptom of a world of digital information)but I think a lot of things will need to change first. I'm not sure if micropayments is really the answer, but I was reading about the problems and came to this.

Discuss!
